The 7 Wonder of Portugal - Beaches - were voted and elected by the Portuguese people, in 2012.
The requirements for the selection of the candidate beaches were:
- Quality of the water
- Natural beauty
- Cleanliness
- Preservation of Flora and Fauna
- Quality of the facilities and services for the beach users
